The new site’s off to a great start!

WHAT: It’s been years since I’ve updated my site
WHY: I’ve been heads down in my work for the past 6 years
I'm updating my portfolio because I was among the many developers laid off coming into 2024.↗︎
There’s A LOT of work that’s been done, and a lot I’ve been proud of since then.
FFWD: anyway, I saw Squarespace had a “new” version of its editor (est 2020) referred to as 7.1
mindset= “Ooooh, a new toy I wanna play!”
Attempt to update from 7.0 to 7.1…

Sooo I’m gonna update this live.

To be fair, the adoption portion wasn’t the issue. Updating a 7.0 site to a 7.1 site was where the tires came flying off.

(now that I think about it, the fact it was introduced in 2020 should have been a tip-off to the shit show I was in for.)

Regarding the new 7.1 features, I will 100% be playing with them throughout the coming weeks. So, changes will be frequently made.
